Photo A Day - Week 2

WHOA.  Work got a bit out of control and I wasn't able to blog at ALL this week.  BUT, I ran 50 miles, biked 18 and took more than one picture a day.

Grandpa playing with my son on his last day here.  Shortly after this pic was taking, my son slipped and dunked his whole arm in the fountain

A Phoenix sunset on an evening run (which averaged 6:50 pace over 8 miles)
NO stupid Instagram filter on this one, but it was looking over a Walmart parking lot....Like all good pictures are

Double showerhead....for.the.win.  Double the fun.

Through work I was able to see Madeleine Albright speak....front row!

Onsite gym at work. I sweat....No, I sweat.... a LOT

Yesterday I went on a motorcycle ride to Tortilla Flats. The road was rough, but the scenery made up for it....Similar to dating a model I suppose

And finally, while I always have issues chaffing on my pointy bits, recently I've started on my collar bones as well.  Groan.

OMG that's some serious chafing. Are you using anything at all? Bodyglide or vaseline?

That is crazy chaffing!!! Defintely get on the body glide or even tape them over with medical tape?

I don't even know how it's possible to chafe on your collarbone. Also, super jealous that you have an onsite gym.

Hmmm...try rosehip oil for the chafing. Or vitamin E oil.

Gee whiz! Chafing on your collar bones. That's a new one for me.

In all my years running, I have never seen someone chafe on the collarbone. Still trying to figure out how you managed that ;)

THIS IS INTERESTING. I HAVE BEEN RUNNING FOR 43 YEARS NOW - LOVE EVERY MILE. I HAVE MANAGED 9 MARATHONS AND HOPE TO DO ANOTHER SOON. OVER THE LAST 5 MONTHS I HAVE DEVELOPED THE COLLAR BONE CHAFING AND IT REALLY HURTS - EVEN WELL AFTER THE RUNNING IS DONE AND JUST DOING ORDINARY ACTIVITIES. I HAVE TRIED GLIDE, VASELINE DEODERANT AND BANDAIDS - IT'S REALLY ANNOYING. THE ONLY THING THAT HAS CHANGES OVER THE LAST YEAR FOR ME IS THAT I'M COVERING MORE MILES AND I HAVE DROPPED ABOUT 30 POUNDS. BUT LETS FACE IT, I WAS BONES IN HIGH SCHOOL WHEN I WAS RUNNING SO IT'S PROBABLY NOT THE WEIGHT. H E L P SO IRRITATING - REALLY.
