Ran it as part of my 5 miles this morning...35 minutes flat for my slow butt! Can't wait to get my nose fixed so I can actually BREATHE!
It's Saturday morning here in Australia. Got it done early, so glad I did.
I posted on my blog.
http://blogwobble.blogspot.com/2012/01/virtual-5k.html
Hey, it's Saturday somewhere, right? I set a NEW PR for 3.3 miles on my run today! You say 3.3 miles isn't a standard distance? Feh! I ran it in 30:21. That's kind of like a 28:15 5K, right?
And thanks to our wimpy Minnesota winter weather, I did NOT freeze anything off. It was a balmy 21 degrees, with light winds and mostly-clear pavement on the trail along the Mississippi river.
http://healthywealthandwisenotbutlearning.blogspot.com/2012/01/did-done-and-it-was-hard.html
It's northern Minnesota here and we had some snow and ice this past week but the temp was 15* this morning so off I went on the Cuyuna trail.
Thank you for hosting this Adam, it was really something I'm not sure I would of done if I hadn't found this. Outside I mean, I do my 5K's on the treadmill in the winter.
Take care and God Bless!!
did my part this morning. I ran 8 km as part of my trainng for a half in April. 1:04...not too fast but thats what you get being me. Thanks for the fun idea. The running gods were nce to me as the freezing rain stopped halfway through my run and the cliff's Shot Blocks I dropped at 30 min I found again at 45 min...yahoo
Ha, I'll show those guys slow! 3.18 miles in 45 minutes! lol. Give me some credit though it's almost 11 o'clock at night and I worked earlier today. My plans changed for tomorrow so I had to get it done tonight! Thanks for hosting and pushing me to work out tonight!
I did it and with my new Garmin 405 I got in the mail today and then my husband came home with a new pair of socks from the running store for me :) . 5K in 33:30. I thought I ran harder than that, but I have mostly been on the treadmill this winter and it was a nice 39 degrees in Michigan today.
Did a 22:58 5k in my hilly part of Mindanao island in Southern Philippines. That's just 33 seconds off my personal best of 22:25 which I did in an actual 5k race in 2008. If 5k's are a test of race readiness, I'd say that's where I am right now. Can't be happier. I'm racing a 17k next Sunday.

Ran a personal best...so did my wife. Couldn't have been a better start to the 2012 season. Thanks for hosting Adam!
I walked a 5k with my dog this morning (not allowed to run at the moment - sad face). It took 1 hr and 5 minutes. Nothing froze but we stopped to pee at nearly every tree.
http://funwithrunning.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-5k.html
I "ran" my sons paper route on wet ice.
2am after work workout was a treadmill slog - 3.11 in
33.49- 5K PR for me!

Abingdon Parkrun completed in record slow time this morning! http://petergroves.blogspot.com/2012/01/two-for-price-of-one.html
Mamma mia, I get tired just hearing of all this running. I guess it's age. Good for you! All the best from Rome from your new follower! they are predicting snow here in Italy in the next few days, let's see if it's true.

The return (and subsequent defeat) of The Manly Runner! Probably should have stayed retired...
Ran 5 miles this morning!! My 5K time was 19:24. I even had the wife yell Ready, Set, Go!!!!! (She thought i was retarded) After I ran the 5K I ran a easy 2 miles with the wife. Rainy and a nice 35 degrees out. a little wind but not bad.
5k done in 35:48 on the dreadmill. Not fast but I still have a cold in my chest.
It's snowing here in Northeast Ohio, so I ran my 5k on the treadmill. I'm in awe of the runners who brave this yucky weather to run outside.
My time: 28:35
http://bakerunlive.com/2012/01/28/weekly-running-recap-7/
It was a cold winter's morning in South Carolina...a chilly 35 degrees. Despite the conditions I braved the elements of no wind, no precipitation and clear skies to fight my way to the starting line of the Freeze Your Thorns Off 5K. Nothing, not even near perfect conditions would stop me from participating in the race.
As I eyed the competition, I knew that I was in for a challenge all day. As our group started out, they all chatted about marathons and life. There was laughter and jovial stories told, but I was not there for stories...I was there to WIN. Sure they didn't know the race was going on. Of course they don't know what Twitter is. None of that mattered. I was here to destroy all of them.
I kept it close through all of the miles, even letting them open up somewhat of a lead on me at times so I could converse with people, but make no mistake, my eyes were on the prize. As we neared the finish line of the local Fleet Feet, the full glory of my experience would not be complete until I was crowned the WINNER of the FYTO5K, Greenville South Carolina edition.
With the finish line in sight I effortlessly blew past the rest of the field as they looked at me like I was an alien....an alien with a big fat trophy.
I was triumphant, and so happy with my feat, I bought a round of coffee for the entire group. That's just the kind of guy I am.
7.32 miles in 1:08:30.
I believe this will be a new record for FYTO5K in Greenville SC at this distance.
I'm not letting the victory or the new record go to my head though. I still remember all the little people that made it possible.
Oh, and one more thing....Fleet Feet, I apologize for what I did to your restroom.
Thanks for putting on the race Adam! Can't wait for the SYTO5K later this year!
Just got back from my FYTO5K. I ran it as part of a 12K run. The weather today is much better than yeasterday. A bit windy. Temp when I started out was 0C but with the wind it felt like -9C. I did a trail/road run. Had to run 2K to get to the trail.
I really had no game plan, just figured I'd wing it. Started out conservatively (there's a rather long gradual hill that starts at the 250m mark of my run). I was feeling good and decide to up the pace and use the first 5K as my FYTO5K time. First 5K done in 26:48. Not too bad.
Took the pace down for a bit, until the turnaround at 6K. Was still feeling good and though I didn't realize it at the time, was keeping pretty consistent km splits of about 5:10. Pushed the pace again at 9K and finished the second 5K in 26:17.
So, at the 10K mark is the bottom of the other side of the hill that I mentioned previously, and it's pretty much an uphill for a km. Good thigs is that from 11K it's downhill all the way home. Well, it ends up that km 11 was run faster than km 6 and with the downhill during km 12, I finished 12K in 1:03:46.
My FYTO5K time is my last 5K which I ran in 25:37. I haven't run that fast or that long in a while.
I thought I was gonna puke there at one point.
This was fun. Can't wait to SMTO
Ran this as part of a 5 miler. Time = 31.41. Attitude = swirling the toilet bowl. Weather = snowy, windy with ice pellets stinging my eyes. At least I was out there. Thanks, Adam, for hosting another great virtual run.
I did it. It was hard today, and it was about 38 degrees and still quite icy out there, but I did it. I feel like a winner for just getting it done today!
Hi Adam
Did it as part of a 25 K run.
First tour of the 'Watersportbaan'in Ghent, Belgium in 30.25.
Nice blog you've got !
Kind regards,
Luc T, Ghent, Belgium
Thanks Adam! I ran this morning in 0*C weather. Snow, rain, wind & ice. It sucked pretty hard. Got it done in 28:26. Ok time considering I had to dodge a lot of ice patches. http://breakingmyrunnersin.blogspot.com/2012/01/week-2-of-training-and-not-one-but-two.html
Hi! My time for the virtual 5K was 41.56. That is pretty bad but still a PB (and jelly). My 5K time almost matches your Marathon time! Thanks for hosting, this was great motivation for me!
Tammy B
I actually only ran 2.9 miles in 28:15 as I am coming back from a hip injury. It was my longest run since the marathon in November and pain-free at that! Physical therapy is getting me closer every day! :)
Ran my Freeze Your Thorns Off 5K in 26:40. A beautiful, snowy afternoon in Michigan!
On the tmill as part of my 8 mile long run: 5K of 30:50 (with runner's gut thankyouverymuch)
"Race" report up blog.ransick.org
Thanks for letting us virtually run with you Adam!
Whoot! 3.1 miles done and done! 24:16!
WOO HOO! This was my first ever 5K. Finished at 30:34!
Report at: http://danruns.blogspot.com/2012/01/relay-for-life-5kfreeze-your-thorns-off.html
Finished this during my 10K race today! I used the first 3.12 miles since it was the less hilly part of the race! My time was 30:33.
Here's my blog post about it:
http://fromcouchtoironwoman.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-5k-virtual-race.html
26:55 love the virtual race idea. even sene a picture wearing my official # 620
Froze my Thorns and my Franny @ Stoney Creek 31 degrees and snow. Not a fan of big group starts, was stuck in middle back of 700+ racers, took a good 10 seconds to get to start line. Endomondo tracker got me 24:40, PR for me. and 20 seconds under goal time.
I don't have a picture of my foot for the blog this time... instead you get a toddler eating broccoli like its going out of style.
http://itswhatmovesme.blogspot.com/2012/01/virtual-race-report-freeze-your-thorns.html
Hooray for completing my first 5K race of the year in 32:22! And, fortunately for me (and hubby who ran it with me)......try not to hate us too much.....it was a BEAUTIFUL and sunny 59 degrees here!
Thanks for pacing me this morning. Sorry I P-walked in 3rd mile. Overall time was 27:51 which is a 5K PR. Thanks for the support!
I finished my 5K for the run this morning (28:41 was the time...certainly nothing like Adam could do on a good day, but still got it done !!!), and you can read all about it here...

5K in 34:57
with a 17 day old baby.
That's pretty hardcore, if I do say so myself!
Race report @ http://missionhotbodafterbaby.blogspot.com/2012/01/fyto-virtual-5k.html
25:07 - first 5K of a 10K. YAY!
Will write a real race report as soon as I stop being lazy (aka later this afternoon).
5K in 21:42 today! Perfect running weather in Northern Utah today :)
22:02
You'll get a race report later. Probably.
Ran 3.1 in 31:00 - running after a lunch that included tartar sauce was NOT a good idea. It was the gift that kept on giving!
Thanks for hosting such a cool (pun intended) event.
Weather report for Worcester, MA
Temp: 47 F
Average Temp: 23 F
I had a great "race" this morning. I did it as part of a longer run. All recapped and reported on my blog:
http://joannaruns.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-5k-race-report.html
Did it as part of my 4 miles today. 31:29 for me.
Thank you!

race done
me and the wind and a Great Dane.
both were not invited....will have a post after parenting duties are done..wait that has no end...ok after basketball and homework..
later..if Chris K or Kovas asked my time was 24:02...but in real it was 30:51...no thanks to Great Dane..
It was a balmy 49 degrees in Reno, NV. Ran it in 34:56 after working a 12 hour grave. Thanks for the inspiration to get out and run.
Finished my 5K in 24:24. Had fun, thanks for letting me be a virtual part of your second annual event. My recap is posted: http://mike2marathon.blogspot.com/2012/01/second-annual-freeze-your-thorns-off-5k.html
Here is my recap: http://andsoitburns.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-5k.html
21:59 -had a good race today!!!
Okay, I did intervals today and used 3.1 of it as your FYTO5K. Although I did not freeze anything off! It was sunny and 45ish today! One mile warmup, 27:59 5K, then three easy miles. Not a PR, but it was only 8 seconds off my current PR, so I was pretty happy considering I didn't truly RACE it. :)
Ran this in a balmy -24 Fahrenheit! Didn't want to really move but we finished in 35:41 with just a wee hint of frost bite and frozen eyelashes !!
3.34 miles in 45:30 for me. Here is a link to my RR:
http://climbingthosehills.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-5k-race-report.html
Not as freezing as some January days, but still tough.
Ran it twice (24:32 and 24:465) with a mile warm up and cool down. Actually saw two other runners which is rare in my neck of the woods.
Although temps were nice (39 degrees), a steady 35 mph wind blew off the thorns.
DONE!! DID IT!!!
http://debsdailylife.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns.html
Interesting course you chose for me Adam. But I can't argue with the race director.
Here's the report.
Here's my recap of skiing, bloody mary and beer drinking, running, and more beer drinking for the FYTO5k today! 3.22 miles in 33:06 (not bad for drinking before running, I say)

--Miranda :)
Can't say this was the fastest 5k for me, but it was also part of a 12 miler so it wasn't going to be blazing fast. 28:39 for the 5k portion. It was an awesome run with snow on the ground (finally) and a little bit still coming down. No thorns were frozen off as it was 20 degrees out.
Had an awesome 5 mile run.
My 5k portion wasn't stellar: about 41 min. But still a great day to run.
Thanks for hosting, Adam!

Thanks for hosting this and giving me the extra motivation to do something today.
http://lifeasarunningmom.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-race-recap.html
Ran a five mile race (37:30), but glanced at my watch somewhat after the 3rd orange mile marker cone and I was at 22:47 - of course there was this runner guy wearing a orange cone colored vest who was ahead of me who kept throwing me off, I thought I'd never make it to the next cone. Thanks for sponsoring this race - pick me for the arm warmer things.
Hey Adam, great run today. Completed the 5K in 26:43!
Posted the report on my blog
http://connie-joyofrunning.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-virtual-5k-race.html
Greetings Adam... I am a friend of Jeff Geyer, and, since I didn't let you know I was going to participate, I decided to bandit the race on the treadmill at LA Fitness. The hills were manageable, unfortunately the BO smell of the guy next to me was not- and that hampered my breathing and focus. This is my first race in over two years, and, for only running 7 times since December, I was happy with the effort
I did a run/yog, running for 3:30, then yogging for 1:10. I kept the running pace between 9:15/mile and got down to 8:00/mile on the last 1/2 mile... I think out-sprinted Jeff and passed him 4m before the finish line... what a sucker!
My time was nearly double my times from high school and college, but my age is double, so it evens out. Thanks for hosting such a great event!
m1- 9:44
m2- 18:56
m3- 27:25
5K- 28:09

Ran Freeze Your Thorns off 5k in 29.00 minutes. Did it inside on the treadmill.
I just want to thank you for this. I PR'd the 5k today with 35:03. Yeah, I'm slow. But not as slow as I was last week.

Thanks again, Adam. I'm considering racing a 5k every freaking weekend now, all because you hosted this. You are a rock star. (I'm not bad either- PR baby, yeah!)
Had a blast (literally) running 3.1 and then some this morning in the gusts of 40+mph wind.
http://jesslk721.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-virtual-5k-and.html
Fun! I ran it as part of my 6 mile run. Gorgeous sunset!!
http://runningmoose50.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-5k-race-recap.html
Finished my 5K in 34:29 as part of a 6-mile run. It was a sunny 33 degrees in Salt Lake, so my husband and I didn't freeze anything off. We did have a great view of snow covered peaks on our running trail. I'll try to post a pic to my blog this evening! Thanks for a great race!
Did it a part of my 10 miler this morning :)
Report:

Great run today! 3.1 in 24:16. My neighborhood is super hilly so I thought it was a decent time! My Google signature here is "Jessica Clem and Jason McClaren," but I entered into the race as Jessica Clem. Just so you don't count my husband in the results list! :)
race report
I demand to win the socks.
I ran it today as a recovery run from my marathon last weekend. Still trashed legs but squeaked out a 25:59.
Ran it today with blue skies and temps in the 40's. A great run! Thank you!
Here is my race report & pics: http://www.runningwiththegirls.com/2012/01/race-your-thorns-off-virtual-recap.html
Thanks for the inspiration! Swam this morning and then fit the 5k in this afternoon. Not my best time (42:45) but I'll take it. I may blog about it in the next day or so.

About my run this morning!
http://loreleig316.blogspot.com/
Hiked 2.28 miles in 1:16:54 on a mountain with my husband and his dog for the dog's birthday. It was brutal!
38:41 - Beautiful morning here in East Texas for a run.
I did it. I ran 3.1 at the gym in 44:12!
I did ittttttt!!!! I got on a muddy trail run in 27:46. I can't seem to push myself without the crowd but this shall do :) Thanks for making me get out there!
Ran my FYTO5K after work tonight- it wasn't very freezing but hey, I'll take it. :) 66 is fine.
25:33! An unofficial PR.
Got my 5K today despite the fact that I had a wisdom tooth pulled on Monday and was out of commission for most of the week!
The weather was BEAUTIFUL! 40*, Sunny, barely any wind and all the snow and ice had melted away!! Got out--a solid 1st mile, and then I went to take a picture, ended up pausing and ENDING my run on Nike+. Had to start a new one...lost my groove.
Ended up posting a 5K time of 35:53. Definitely not a PR--but, I got out there and did it! And my healing mouth doesn't seem to be effected by it! So that is EVEN better! :)
You can find my race report at http://twentysixpointtwoforher.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-5k.html
I ran it, and I posted about it! whitehouseofchaos.blogspot.com
I ran on road and paved trail in ridiculous 72 degree weather and did it in 32:21, which wasn't bad for me. And I'm feeling much better about it seeing all the other times posted here. Thanks for the self-esteem boost!
Got my 5K in as part of my longer run and it was freezing!

Rockford, IL, bright sunshine, 24 degees, windy, and a fresh coat of snow on the ground. What a great day to run the 5k and freeze my thorns off. I finished in 36:53
5k-21:42. Did my workout today; fastest 3.1 miles were 21:42
Did terrible 37:10, but still had a blast! I linked up a race report on my blog http://parkerreport.blogspot.com

34:35.
Here is my race report.
Finished this in 50:24. My slowest 5k ever. Have been sick for two weeks but just had to run and finish this first race of the year. I think I could have crawled faster this morning.

Well I didn't get the 8 in I wanted but I decided to be realistic. Instead it was 6 but that's better than no miles at all! Thanks for doing this because it made my training run all the more fun.
Trying to get back in the game after having a baby! I was slow but I made it the 3.1 miles. Thanks for the motivation!
Ran my 5k on Wednesday. I'm pretty happy with my time since I've been out with an injury since Oct.

Easy run day, so a relaxed pace for sure! Ran my Freeze Your Thorns Off 5K in 00:34:25 as part of a 4 mile run today.
Man, I'm sorry, didn't finish my 5k. Did 3K as part of a Aquathlon (swin+run) but then had to stop, as sand in my shoes were killing me. Here it is:
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/145592202
I don't trust my GPS, which says I ran 5K in just over 32 minutes. I posted here: http://thankfulthornshaveroses.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-5k-race-report.html but it's more rant than race report.
Just finished my FYTO5K in 35:31. I won't torture you with a picture of me after.
Done! Here is my recap - damn GPS or my fat fingers, will get the hang of using APPs on iPhone yet :-) http://aveteranrunnah.com/2012/01/29/freeze-your-thorns-off-5k-recap/
Just getting over sinus infection so I did it today on my treadmill...very slowly. 5k in 38:17.
Happy Sunday!

Thanks for doing this again!
The 5k is completed! Didn't really finish sooner than the 1st one of the year but I did do a little running this time so success:-) Posted about it here Another 2fer
Ran 12 miles of a planned 16 mile training run. Which 5k section should I report on? The first flat-out run for a bathroom, or the second? Or the turn-around back to my house to shed some layers because of this unseasonably warm VA winter? Well, besides those issues, my friend and I had a decent run, except decided that after 12 miles and 4 stops, we just weren't in the mood for the full 16. How convenient that next weekend's planned run is 12 miles, so we just swapped 'em. Better luck next time.
Here's my race report. Thanks for putting on an awesome race.
http://lazybonesrunning.blogspot.com/2012/01/freeze-your-thorns-off-5k.html
I was contemplating doing the 5K in the shower, but I get so prune-like after 10 minutes, I was scared I would come out a raisin!
Recap here: http://chix20chix.blogspot.com/2012/01/fyto-5k-recap.html
Thanks for a fun race! Maybe I can do it LIVE next year!
Most fun 5k ever (and longest)! It was great with the bibs and we got lots of comments when running! :) 3.1 in 40:54.
My knee wasn't happy, but I did mine in 28:12. Thanks for the fun incentive!

I ran mine as part of my long run. Hate to brag but it was in the 80's and I was wearing shorts and short sleeves.
I considered a race report consisting of: "See Mike's blog", but I sucked it up and wrote my own. Thanks for hosting!

Did it on Sunday after my Saturday night vodka cranberry wore off. Treadmill run for 42 minutes= 4 miles, but several walking breaks included. See vodka cranberry reference above.
Did my 5K today as part of a longer training run. I'm one of the slower ones around - finished 5K in about 50 minutes. Florida sun was super hot today so no freezing any thorns off for me! But still had a good run.
Well ran my 5k on the dreadmill with a 23:42! Yeah, I didn't really want to run it on the treadmill, but I wussed out with the 17 degrees morning this morning, but ran another 7.6 in the afternoon (and almost 60!). The bad news is that almost beat my 5k time from this morning during that run! So, did I podium in my AG?!? LOL
I ran my 5k in a very very slow 45:27. Coming back from injury sucks. :/
I forgot to report in!
I ran the 5k {alone} in 38:10 in beautiful Cape Cod.
25.5 minutes on the treadmill doing intervals (6 x 400s with a 1 mile warmup and 0.6 mile cool down). I wanted to hurl on the last 400!
Ran your race today as part of my 11 mile long run. Dan for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Had a great day to run and given I'm in Michigan, I frozen my thorns off! Really though, ran roads, trails and enjoyed ever minute of it. Thanks for putting on the race and getting me out there.
I meant to run tonight after work, but there was a blizzard while I was indoors, and there's no ice everywhere. I don't feel comfortable running on the now-iced sidewalks, so I've scheduled gym time for tomorrow morning.
If you're still accepting times tomorrow, I'll be back with a time for you asap!
Ran the 5k in 32:47.

Ran 14 miles yesterday. It was great. My knee bugged me a little bit, but otherwise fantastic. Lots of big hills (862 ft elevation change).
did your 5k race with my mom! it went very slow but at least we finished, eh? time was 42:22.
ran your 5k virtual race with my daughter. she dragged me the whole way!! My time was 47:00. Not great but it will get better with time! :)
Ran 5K + 5mi or there abouts. Here's the report

Thanks for encouraging us to have fun!

Thanks for the push!
And got a race report up!

This was fun! (I just wish I had my crap together on Friday before I left work so I could have printed off the race bib.) Thanks for putting it together. 23:42. Race report: http://crosscountrysquared.blogspot.com/
I didn't freeze anything off but I ran anyway.

Here's my report. Thanks for giving me a reason to push myself.

I ran it as part of my 12x800 repeats. If I estimate the fastest 5 repeats and the walking between them, I get 36:08. I'm pretty sure I could do 5K faster if that was what I was running without the other 6 miles of repeats. BTW: I did not freeze my thorns (whatever they are) off. It was 45-48 which is on the cool side for Texas but I wore shorts and a long-sleeve shirt and didn't freeze.

Ran this one with my son for the second year in a row. I haven't been running for a couple of months due to a surgery, so this was my first run to get back into it. Is it wrong that I had the OK to run 2 weeks ago, yet delaying starting up again just so this could be my inaugural run? Ah, well - that's my story & I'm sticking with it! Don't worry about my time. I had a great time...lots of fun...isn't that what really matters, anyways? At the beginning of the run it was beautiful. At the end of the run, it was even more beautiful with about 1.5" of fresh snow on the trail. First "real" snow of the year!! Thanks for hosting this virtual run & getting me out there - I wouldn't have missed my 2nd FYTO for anything!!
Got mine done on Saturday in 40 minutes. Wondering if I was able to finish DFL...lol
Ran yesterday outside as part of my 6 miler. 56:56 I'm bad at math, so you can figure it out. Here's my blog link:

My computer/internet has been freaking out. SO, I didn't post about it, but I ran your 5k in 36:54.
I finished in 31:22 and my recap is here:

Ran mine as part of Tinker Bell Half Marathon - Official time 1:08:40. Yeah. That happened.

Cheers
I did my 5k as part of a longer run, 7.8 miles to be exact...My time was 26:25 and did not see any frozen cacti during the run!!!
Here's my recap! :)

Did my run on Sunday - 3.1 as part of a 5.2 run in training for my half marathon in April in Knoxville, TN.
It's all about the post race beer - right?

I'm a little late on posting this--but I didn't end up running a 5k on Saturday or Sunday--so I'm hoping me skiing at least 26 miles still counts! I'm still a newbie at skiing--and ended up doing 11 runs down Copper Mountain, CO over the weekend. I measured two runs and they were 2.6 and 2.4 miles long each! So I'm assuming I skied at least 26 miles! I am SORE! My quads were burning by the time the lifts closed yesterday.

I finished, but not until Sunday :)
http://theunexpectedrunner.blogspot.com/2012/01/fyto-5k-race-report.html
Did it as part of an accidental four miler (should have turned right not left...) but I finished in 43:37 Not too bad for me.
Ran 5.37 in 52mins Sunday morning. I hated the whole run, but not because of the race, but because I was super sore from a strength workout on Fri. It felt like cacti were stabbing my legs, which is appropriate for the title of the race ;) Thanks for hosting, can't wait for SYTO in the summer!
Better late than never! 3.1 miles Saturday at 1:00 pm with a friend in 29:31. And not even freezing, only 46 degrees out!
I ran a 27:34 5k Saturday as part of my 4 mile easy run. My son took a picture when I got back. (spoiler alert -- Adam may post?) By the time I had signed up, all of the positive integer bib numbers were taken, so I chose 3.14. This was kinda symbolic since not only does it stand for pi but is also pretty to close the mile distance of a 5k. The medals were pretty chintzy too. Thanks for the prompt email reply Adam! Finally uploaded mine. It's ugly (like my run) but finished (like my run) :) - http://www.overclockedtim.com/fyto2012/
3.1 miles on Sunday on the elliptical...yee haw!
4.3 Miles on Saturday outside- it was beautiful, but I missed my turn around point! Still counts, right?
Okay, I know I'm really late getting around to commenting. Please don't hate me. I did 3.1 miles in 27:45. A brief write-up is in the first part of this post: http://updowntouchtheground.blogspot.com/2012/02/tinker-bell-weekend-part-3-fyto5k-and.html
