This week is a stepback week for my running. I week to rest, recharge, and reintroduce myself to my family. "Hi! My name is 'daddy'! I am the one in all of the pictures!" I went from a nearly obscene 66 miles last week to 53 or 54 this week. In fact, what was once a 15 mile run on Tuesday is now my 15 mile long run on Saturday! I know I harp on it like a "glaucoma" patient hits a bong, but it just goes to show how everything is relative.
It is sort of like when you get a new. . . . anything. Sure, my underwear are fine now, but buy a few new ones and the see through worn parts in the crotch just aren't as appealing anymore. What was once twice as many miles as I'm used to running is now "recovery". Honestly, that is why I love running and pushing my body to it's limits. It responds, gets used to things, and asks for more. Which is good, because next week I break the 70 mile per week barrier...... OYY!
Finally, my funny foto Friday. This week has a bit of a
delicious alcohol flair. I have to think that if I drove by ANY place of business and they had a funny sign, I'd be much more likely to stop. Happy Friday!
I don't get what is funny about this? Zima is delicious.
Wait, teachers can't hit kids anymore? Seriously, what CAN they do now?
Haha, family liquor....
Hilarious, child beer. They can't drink beer, silly!!!
Ok, seriously guys? SANTA?? Hilarious.
I don't know what Arboreto is, but I'm getting some.
Who am I kidding? I'd drink it before any stiletto women showed up.
Happy Mothers day! Here is some Arboreto.
Win/win either way.
