Funny Foto Friday: Birth Control

I don't think I could be honest with myself if I didn't tell you that the itching you've been having is because of me about my track session fail today. I was scheduled to do some 400m repeats, had gotten all warmed up at the track, was ready to blast out a few at 5:45 pace when I saw a kid get out of his mom's SUV. . . . . then another.  AND ANOTHER.  Before I knew it, there were 30 or so kids all walking towards me in full on soccer gear.  It was then that I noticed that the soccer nets were set up in the infield of the track.  Soccer game!  Crap.

Now, I could have ran my repeats on the road - I had a garmin.  But, I didn't.  My legs were wayyyyy tired from the miles already logged this week, blah blah **insert excuses here**.  I ended up running 7 miles easy and calling it a day.  I hate it when that happens.  My punishment?  16 miles tomorrow with 12 at marathon pace - or basically a 3 mile warm up and then a 1:35 half marathon. Oyy, I should have ran the 400s. Happy Friday!

Amorous?  Big words are funny, right?

Or you could just go grocery shopping with me and my kids…birth control and workout rolled into one :)

Rest is good, Adam…even when you have goals. Good luck with your speedy half tomorrow!

I so can't tell if that disc is for the man or the woman. If for the man, well, that would be the second fail in this post.

Good luck with your speedy half!

We used to tell that same joke, but ours was, "hold an aspirin between your knees" :)

I fell apart for my speedwork this week, too. I suck.
Now I have 18 miles in the middle of a tropical storm and I'm not starting until 8:30 thanks to late night charades (party animals over here).

awwwwwww stupid kids using their soccer field! This has happened to me too, I forget that school starts back up and the darn students need their football field.
Your long run sounds really, really hard to me. So.. have fun, tear it up!

I saw a guy using this as his "marker" in a poker game recently (warning, not suitable for children):

Perhaps a funny foto friday nomination is in order?
