Weekend Run-around…..

Since I'm not running (much) due to my stupid anti-biotic, I figured I was due for another run-around post....

It's been 4 days since our last "incident"
Have you ever been so busy that you completely forget to do something important? For example, you are working so hard that it is 2:00pm and you haven’t had lunch yet ? Well, today I realized that I haven’t pooped in 3 or maybe 4 days. Probably should get that looked into, but after my date with WebMD and the Cipro, I’m just going to double down on Spike’s Taco Bell Friday or something and hope that ‘nature runs its course’.

I can run!  But, it tastes like motor oil
Speaking of the meds that I am on, I emailed a friend who is a doctor, and she said that the Cipro warnings are a bit extreme and that I just needed to be careful. She said “of course, stop at any joint pain, but don’t become a completely immobile, flabby, turd-face”. (That last part might be my words and not hers.) Speaking of the meds, they do have some strange side effects other than making me feel like I just ate one of those huge cheese circle deals. Most noticeably, they make my mouth taste really funny. Not metallic, but kinda like I am licking the ass of a Terminator. Or, at least what I assume that would taste like.

Wait, who said that TV could change?
In the United State’s version of the sitcom The Office, the main character Michael Scott is leaving the show. On Thursday they announced who his temporary replacement would be: Will Ferrell. I have to admit, I loved his first movies, but recently he seems like he takes every random sport and does a movie about it. Not the good sports where all of the players are overpaid injury prone whine bags. But instead the crappy ones like dodgeball, NASCAR, figure skating??? There better not be a bunch of Office episodes that feature kickball or else I’m going to go postal.  Does anyone else watch the office and have any thoughts?

Finally, on the meds front (since I am not running, that is all that I have to talk about), to answer some of the comments that I received on my last post (**cough cough** Walt), I do indeed have an actual tested/confirmed infection. I generally HATE taking medicines and instead take a rainbow of vitamins each day that would make a Skittles commercial whisper “Taste the Thiamine Mononitrate”.

Unfortunately, in what I can only assume is my superior genetics, whatever I caught was resistant to the first round of drugs that I received so we're on to round #2 - which leaves my options somewhat limited.  Cest La Vie.

If Taco Bell doesn't do the trick I don't know what will. Good luck?!

The Office was starting to disappoint. I think Will Farrell will be a nice change of scenery. They also need a ping pong table in there ASAP.

Will Ferrel isnt in Dodgeball, and I do have to admit Dodgeball is one of my favorite movies of all time. I saw it 3 times in the theater, and love to randomly recite the awesome one liners any where I can.

I just hope he doesn't try to overact being funny on the office. Sometimes I feel like that is one of Will Ferrel's flaws. Overacting in a Chris Farley, but I'm not so fat kind of way.

My suggestion. Drink two cups of coffee in the morning and you will not have any issues with poop. haha!

I'm personally skeptical about Will Ferrell in The Office. I'm not as big of a fan of the show as I used to be so I haven't put much thought into it. But I expect the dynamic of the show to change considerably with Ferrell and I'm not sure I am going to like the change.

And sorry to hear about your poop. No advice other than Bran Buds. Those things are powerful!

I don't watch The Office. 30 Rock and Parks & Rec. Yes. You not pooping is like the entire planet is out of round.

You need a matching "Shut up and Poop" t-shirt :) You must be almost done with those meds...hope they do the job and that you feel the energy coming back to you soon!

I stopped watching the office about six months ago. They stopped being funny to me and started being just redundant. I think Steve Carrel realized that and is why he is leaving. Oh well. Another one bites the dust.

Go get a shot of wheat grass from Jamba Juice. It taste just like mowed grass, but it completely does the trick.

I have high hopes for Will F.--"Old School" is one of my favorite movies (admitting it in public!). If he can pull up that kind of talent, there's hope!

Here's to the end of side effects!

When my puppy was a wee little one, her mouth smelled like metal all the time. Was kinda weird. But she was a floppy, soft puppy and the damn cutest thing ever.

And the main thing that struck me with the Will Farrell announcement, was how they kept that under wraps. I'm surprised it didn't get out before they official disclosure this week.
No one will be the same though.

They jumped the shark with Ferrel. Show is done.

That episode was one of the best ever tho... Best write out of a character ever.

1. I don't think Taco Bell qualifies as "nature" running its course.
2. Is the cheese circle taste a bad thing? Because that sounds downright delicious for very few calories.
3. Figure skating is NOT a crappy sport. But yes, that movie sucked.
4. I'm all about the rainbow of vitamins too. In fact, I only take vitamins that come in "gummy" variety, and I use them as an afternoon pick-me-up snack at the office. Yum!

I love Will Ferrell, and I'm kind of excited to see where the show goes with him. I hope this isn't where The Office "jumps the shark."

I don't watch The Office, so I think I'll miss it just as much with Will Ferrell as I did with Steve Carell.

Maybe SUAR will send you a man sized version of her Shut Up & Poop shirt.

What a helpful pill diagram. I'm on Xyzal (sp?)for allergies 'cause claritin just didn't stimulate my hose from opening.

Also, ever since my son came along "free" time is a black hole. Blogging doesn't get done early anymore... nor does work.

You and the Redhead are pill poppers. Also, I've always feel some remorse when I realized I have no # 2 in a few days.

The pills are a lot easier to take with a good dark beer. Will Ferrell is one the greats!

The office will be intresting with Will Ferrell. Defintly not the same without Scott.

Steve Carrell is the office and I can't imagine it going well, even with crazy Will, who I loved on SNL and his first few movies, but you are right about the sports thing.

Wheat grass or Magnesium = solution...good luck because that's NO fun : (

I hadn't heard about the replacement for Steve Carrell!! I'm a bit excited, I must admit, I'm a fan of both The Office and Will Ferrell, I don't think he'll be able to replace him for good, but it should make for some good tv.
I want to see more baby pictures!
