Funny Foto Friday: Too Many Video Games

First, a running update......  after my Tommy Lee Jones Two Face Run on Tuesday, I had solid runs on Wednesday and Thursday:
Wednesday: 8 miles at marathon pace - 7:27/mi
Thursday: 10x400 at my new 5K pace.  Goal was 5:45/mi pace, averaged 5:40/mi pace.  Score.

While the Wednesday run was pretty normal (except I had to take a pee break where like 2 drops of pee came out...annoying), the Thursday track run was interesting.  I haven't done track work in SIX weeks, so I figured that these would be a struggle.  I was right - Even though my times were good, the track laps were TOUGH.....and the Middle Schoolers who were walking by were not helping matters any....thinking they were so big with their backpack on one shoulder.  Don't they know that is bad for their posture!?

While running the 400 repeats, I tried to maintain form and stay loose but it was a constant battle within my head.  I continuously said to myself "loose jaw, fast turn over, I wonder what will happen with the tax cuts, light feet." Overall, it worked - and my legs were tired the rest of the day.  Success!

If you've never shopped or been on Amazon.com (I'm sure you love wearing your pants up to your armpits, love morning coffee at Dennys, and smelling like Viks Vapo Rub), they have a feature that 'suggests' items that you may like based on the item that you're viewing.  I have a feeling that Amazon's suggest technology is getting a little TOO good.

I've never been a big video game guy, but I have a feeling that there are way too many people out there who play just a BIT too much.  But, I'd be lying if I said that I never thought about this during football games....

If your kids have Call of Duty on their Christmas list, make sure you also add Adult Diapers

I guess that you will be purchasing one to teach your son the proper use of a "pull-up"?

Fits 32" to 46" - wow. That is one size fits most. I guess just more room in the waste band for the skinny folks.

That makes sense ... if you are really whoopin a$$ in the game, you can't get up to pee!

I've wanted some of these for a while. I love compression shorts/pants/socks, though a top... ehh, not sure yet. I'd worry about people being able to tell when I'm cold...

so, i can't find it on their site, but last night 12 news had on a clip of a kid in TX who set the world record for most pairs of underwear on at once, tightie whities over one another, at 512. it was hilarious. the kid looked miserable. and as if he'd like video games.

Damn, I should have given you Beth's name for the gift exchange!

Speaking of high school gamers, I had a student sleeping in class ALL THE TIME and after much investigation, found out the kid was going home from school, sleeping 4 hours, then up gaming all night. His dad took it away after we told him what was going on, but then the kid beat up his dad. No lie! Police arrested the kid and he spent 3 days in juvi jail. 10 bucks says the dad gave him his gaming back as soon as he got out. See what you get to look forward to?!?

Was this post sponsered by astronaut Lisa Marie Nowak?

That would certainly take care of many 2 drop pee stops - more running time!

Adam,
Didn't that funny photo come from Gizmodo? I saw that the other day and it was awesome. I'm sure that World of Warcraft also has all those crazy suggested items, too!

How is baby life? The fact that you're getting in a run is a good indicator of running training success despite the new addition.

Thanks for the super-nice comments; they're always uplifting!

Well @Jill's revelation is frightening ... only 3 days for assault?

What do they give for murder: a week?

Jails are over-loaded so maybe it was an early release (picked by random.org from the cell mates!).

Intervals were "tough", eh? Um, Adam, you do realize that your pace WAS 5:40, right? Great job.

Are you serious? I suppose gamers truly use those so they don't have to stop playing. I can see wearing them if I were trying to qualify for Boston or the Olympic trials but then again you have to consider the extra weight you'd have to carry.

Adam, first of all I have to say Congrats, Congrats, Congrats on your baby. He is absolutely adorable, but I don't blame your wife one bit for wanting to wait, say 10 years or so for another one : )

It sounds like Iowa really got pounded last week, bet you were glad to be far, far away from that mess!

Nice runs, I'm guessing the middle schoolers secretly had the hots for you : )
