Behind and the EFS Winner

Well hello there! I know what you are all thinking...Where is Adam? I need my daily dose of sarcasm and running! No, I haven't gone into some sort of shame spiral after my race, polishing off a bag of girl scout cookies while crying naked in a cold shower.....they were oreos...and the water was lukewarm.

Seriously though, I really appriciate the kind words of encouragement about my Seattle race...and maybe some of the back handed thoughts of someone complaining about a 3:45 marathon. Believe me, I realize that this is a GREAT time that I would have killed for 1.5 years ago. Relativity. Moving.On.

I'm behind:
I'm doing my best to get up to speed on work as well as catch up on everyone's blogs. I normally have a pretty systematic way of staying up to date** that sort of went out the window when I was ~120 posts deep. (If I can brag a bit) I actually pride myself in actually reading all of the blogs that I comment on. Very rarely do I skim posts. I figure if someone put in the time to write stuff down then I can give it the time to read it. This means that when I go off the grid it takes me a bit to catch up. Cest La vie.

EFS Winner:
This was really the contest to enter!! If you wanted $20 worth of free stuff, you had a ~ 1 in 18 chance of winning it provided you followed my blog and posted it on your blog. But, in true Karma fasion, the winner is none other than Tricia @ Endurance is Only Physical! I say Karma fasion, because she gives away more stuff than anyone I know second only to EricaH or more recently Angie B. (Hint Hint.... You should go to their blogs often... although Angie B has been giving away a lot of skirts and stuff. I'm not sure how many more of those I can "pretend" are for my wife.)

Scheduling Snaffoo
So, about that race schedule over on the right hand side? ---> Yeah, going to have to redo it. Turns out that the two remaining out of town weekend trips that I have planned are the weekends of two 5Ks that I was 100% going to do. In my head I'm trying to figure out how I can have a summer of speed (trying to break 19 min on the 5K) while only racing marathons. If anyone knows of some Phoenix area 5Ks that are not the same weekend as ARR #4 or #5 cough cough cough cough then let me know.

Ok, enough blabbering, back to work!!***

Good for you not skimming blogs...

...it takes me back to the olden days when you read blogs because they were interesting (not because you felt guiltily compelled) and you wrote blogs because it was fun (not because you wanted to build a army of followers)...

I'm like that with following blogs too and, yes, some weeks are hard to stay up to date.

It's hard picking goals, isn't it. I'm still working on time versus marathon; hopefully, the two will naturally fall together.

Other than ARR Summer Series I don't think there's another 5K in the near area until September, or so. There's some near Tucson, though.

I hear you on falling behind. I try to read most posts of the people I like to read (even if I don't comment often), so I've had to do some serious cutting in my reader. I can't take it when I get behind and I haven't been out of town or away from the computer...

Thanks for the bloggy love buddy!!
Hang in there. I have been super busy too and its hard to stay caught up. I don't skim either so it takes a while.
How did I miss your giveaway. Do you find that the "all blog updates" feature does not in fact show all blog updates..
I will try and get some more dude blogs going or at least gender neutral! Seamus over at Sport Kilts is sending my hubby and I each a kilt to try....maybe a giveaway there and you can start wearing a skirt too!!!

18 entries for the give-away and I STILL can't win...and I don't even skim your blog! WHAAAA!

I agree, skimming is LAME. The "Blogs I Read Frequently" are listed because something about that blog makes me want to read every word of every post.
99% of the time it's because the blogger is funny :)

Thanks for getting me back into running blogging....

I had no idea you were a nevernude...interesting to find out. Makes you significantly less boring.

LOVED the mental picture that came with your first paragraph. Thanks!

I'm picky about the blogs I follow. You should feel honored! I have chosen to follow yours! I only follow the ones that genuinely interest and amuse me. Or the ones that are hosting a giveaway and following is a requirement. Then I ditch them when I don't win.

Well, I say at least it wasn't a lukewarm shower in your own urine. Speaking of urine, sadly, mine will not contain the extra electrolytes from that wonderful EFS. Poo.
