Feel like $100

A friend that I work with yesterday was constantly saying: “today is a great day to be alive”. Or, at least I think it was something to that effect. As I look outside today, I think that I may have to agree with him. The weather is gorgeous, it is bright and sunny, there is a fall crispness to the air, and the leaves are probably as close to full color as they will get. (On a side note, that same friend is having a horrible day today, so here goes trying to cheer him up….)

So, today really is a good day. Most importantly, with the economy ready to kick me in the junk each and every day, it is nice to enjoy some of the little things that are free each and every day. Try to find something that makes you happy that is unlimited at no cost. There is truly nothing better.

To build off of a list that I recently read, here are my favorites today:

  • Knowing that someone somewhere loves you no matter what
  • Running and having nothing to think about
  • Hugs
  • Crisp fall weather
  • Deep burgundy leaves
  • Bright blue skies
  • When someone gives you a complement without even realizing it
