Olympics Are Nearly Here!

I am not sure if it is my relatively new (less than 3 years) exposure to running, but I am really excited for the Olympics this year. I recently very quickly browsed the pictures that Runners World posted from the trials that were this weekend - and it really got me jazzed for them to start.

I actually watched most of day 1 and day 2 of the trials. I got to see the men's 5,000 and women's 5,000 and 10,000. I came away with a few thoughts:

  • I am slow
  • The women look almost more fit than the men (it seemed like they all had 6 packs)
  • I am slow
  • The men are quite a bit faster than the women, but the men looked like they are exerting themselves tons more
  • I am slow

Here is hoping that the US does well in the Olympics!
